Management Committee - looking for new members

Migrants Support Services is looking for people being interested and motivated  to join our small but dynamic management committee.

If you could share knowledge from the following  areas * PR/marketing * Fundraising * Charity accountancy * Employment/charity law * Volunteer management and development * Charity governance * Working with vulnerable people * Business Management to consider giving approximately 2 hours of their time each month for committee meetings  with occasional other management duties.
The management committee usually meets every month but total time commitment can vary dependent on areas of interest of individual members.

Organisation profile:
The Migrants Support Services is a small project for migrants from A8 in Glasgow and area, during establish process – domestic abuse services and as well substance misuse.
Our objects are: advance the education, relive the poverty and otherwise promote the welfare of those in the community that are disadvantaged through circumstances, socially excluded on the ground of their ethnic and cultural difference; provide counselling and support services for individuals who have adaptation problems connected to immigration; promote equality and diversity.

We cooperate with Glasgow Council on Alcohol and Women’s Aid to provide a clear recovery pathway for individuals wanting to move on from substance misuse or domestic abuse.
